Marrakech - A majority of Moroccans interviewed by Chouf TV in Casablanca do not agree with the recent conditions set by Facebook. Many expressed their intention to use other social media, such as Tsu, rather than accept Facebook’s new rules.

Facebook’s new rules allow the company to check users’ personal details, including posts, pictures, and even conversations. Most of those who were interviewed said that they would try other social media, such as Tsu, because they “cannot accept conditions that violate users’ personal freedom.”

Few of the interviewees said that it is normal for people to have no secrets on their Facebook accounts. On the “Green” social network Tsu, Moroccans make up 12.1 percent of users worldwide.  US users top the list, with 19.9 percent of total users, followed by the Japanese with 12.1 percent. India and Egypt are ranked fourth and fifth with 8.7 percent and 3.7 percent, respectively.
