Rabat - Mesut Ozil might join boyhood club Fenerbahce next summer, as Arsenal received a serious bid for the playmaker, according to Ozil’s agent.
The German World Cup winner could make a controversial switch to Fenerbahce at the end of the season, if the Turkish club follows up on their interest, reported the London Evening Standard.
The British outlet quoted Ozil’s agent, Erkut Sogut, as saying, "It’s too early to talk right now. But you cannot know the conditions. Fenerbahce seem serious about Mesut.”
"It is difficult to predict in advance how Arsenal would respond. At the end of the season, we'll see.”
"However, leaving Arsenal for Fenerbahce could be a serious choice for him. They are one of Turkey's biggest clubs."
Erkut believes the Turkish giants could make a move for the German World Cup winner as early as next summer.
The 26-year-old set a Gunners’ record in 2013 after he moved to the Emirates from Real Madrid for a hefty £42.5million. He has made 77 appearances for Arsenal, scoring 12 goals.
